Sunspot Data

This section is dedicated to sunspot number (SSN). Daily, monthly, smoothed (over 13 months), and yearly sunspot numbers are taken from SILSO. You can select the date range manually from the dynamic plot or from the line plots menu. You can download images of the plots by pressing the save button attached to the right-hand side of the plot. Note that in the download files we do not include data where SNValue = -1. We also add an additional column Status to signify if an observation is definitive (0) or provisional (1). Data are updated on the first of the previous month.
